How to use Climbing Chalk

Have you ever wondered that why every climber is using chalk on their hands while climbing? You might have noticed that everyone whether in the gym’s set up or outdoors, clipped a chalk bag to their back. So why climbers use chalks?
Well, climbing chalk is used to absorb moisture from hands and keep them dry to provide a better grip. Everyone’s body is different and we all produce moisture differently. Some climbers need to use fewer chalks on their hands while other need to repeatedly apply in the middle of the attempt or while performing a difficult move.
Chalks are generally made of magnesium carbonate which is the best material to improve friction and grip. Chalks are one of the most integral parts of climbing that climbers cannot climb without. There are many brands like Petzl, Black Diamond, Mammut, Ocun, Beal who manufactures climbing chalks that might differ in color and texture, but all serve the same purpose that is to keep your hands nice and dry.

Climbing chalks are available in different forms such as Climbing chalk ball, block, loose powder, and Liquid chalk climbing. Which type of chalk you choose depends on your personal preference and style of climbing.
