Tips to use taping for practising sport
To apply the tape you should remember these tips;
• You should clean and dry the area first. Lotions and oils can make it difficult for the tape to stick.
• Make sure you are not allergic to the adhesive tape and there is no inflammation or damaged skin in the area to be taped.
• It is always good to check the skin sensitivity of the person before putting on the
sports taping.
• Next, trim excess hair from the skin.
• It is good to cut down rounded corners at the ends of each strip. The rounded edges help keep the tape on longer and are less likely to get snagged against clothing.
• When you apply the tape, don’t stretch the ends. If you stretch the ends, the tape will pull your skin, which could make the tape detach sooner and cause irritation.
• Rub the strip vigorously for a few seconds once you have applied the tape.
